I Called Him Dancer by G. Edward Snipes

I Called Him Dancer is about a boy growing up in a broken home. His fragile world is shattered when his mother leaves him with a relative and walks out of his life. After seeing a man dancing with grace and acrobatics, he decides to imitate the man and discovers a natural talent for dance. His life's passion becomes dance and eventually the young man achieves his dream of Broadway. A drug addiction and his inner demons destroy his life and he eventually becomes homeless. His previous dance partner refuses to let go and reaches out to him, but he rejects her. Bitter at God and the world, the dancer embraces a solitary life on the streets. Though he lashes out at God, the Lord has other plans for the fallen dancer.

Keepers of the Covenant by Nanette Justus

“I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, . . .” These words of teen-aged Nephi could have been repeated by the youth of the Restoration. They embraced the gospel of Jesus Christ, and, although young, exhibited amazing courage, faith, and testimony in keeping their covenants.
The stories of ten of these incredible youth are told in this book: Daniel, at age seventeen, overcame fear and bullying to become a missionary. Mary learned to love the scriptures, and then braved a mob to save them. Willard escaped a massacre and witnessed a miracle. Dennison risked his life to spy for the prophet. William, whose father had been paralyzed by a militiaman’s bullet, overcame hatred and joined the Mormon Battalion. Azariah chose the gospel over the lure of gold at Sutter’s Mill. Rachel, age twelve, drove a team and wagon across the plains. Margaret walked across the plains pushing a handcart, and David came to the rescue when her handcart company became trapped in winter storms. Christina traveled alone and friendless, from Scotland to Utah, to join with the Saints.
These are the incredible stories of a few of the young heroes of the Restoration. They were, as are many young people today, valiant role models to all who accept the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Chop, Chop by L.N. Cronk

Ever since Laci was a little girl she's been growing out her pretty, brown hair and chopping it off to send to Locks of Love. When Greg moves into town and finds out what she's doing, he thinks it's a great idea...so he starts doing it too!

It's just one of the things that reserved, young David must tolerate as their friendship grows throughout the years. As they near adulthood, they grow not only closer to each other, but closer to God as well.

David finds himself content in every way, but when tragedy strikes David must struggle to find his way back to God.
