With Book Two of the Experiment in Terror Series, Perry Palomino and Dex Foray trade in the stormy Oregon coast for the unforgiving deserts of New Mexico.

In the forgotten town of Red Fox, a Navajo couple is tortured by things unseen and by motives unknown. Wild animals slink through their house in the dark, a barrage of stones pound their roof nightly, and mutilated sheep carcasses are turning up on their property. Armed with a camera and just enough to go on, Perry and Dex travel to the desolate locale, hoping to film the supernatural occurrences and add credibility to their flailing webcast. Only their show has a lot more working against them than just growing pains. Tested by dubious ranch hands, a ghost from Dex’s past, and shapeshifting deception, the amateur ghost hunters must learn to trust each other in order to fight the most ancient of myths…or die trying.

"The burial will be in about a week. I'll contact you with the precise date and time."

"You can cremate her if you want. Save yourself some money."

Hunt turned on him. "That would be utterly improper. Fire mustn't touch her. It is proper that she is laid in the ground in accordance with her profound wishes."

James felt his face flushing after the Undertaker's ticking off. Then the anger kicked in. "She's dead. It's not like she's going to know."

"The only absence of knowledge is your own, Mr Guest. Now good day."

DO THE DEAD FIND REST? Sometimes, but not in the way you might think...

This Greyhart Press eBook is a short story, a perfect length to enjoy on your lunch break, or to complement a drink in your favorite coffee house. At 5,500 words, this story would be about 22 pages in paperback.

Be warned, though. You won't want to be on your own after you've read this story. Especially if you can smell parma violets!

It’s hard to control your destiny while you’re waiting for the bus. The trouble for Argus Kirkham began when a stranger pushed his way through a crowd at a bus stop and pressed a package into his hands. Inside the package were various random items – photos and toys and newspaper clippings. None of it seemed to make any sense, but as Argus and his friends unraveled the clues, very strange things began to occur in this novel of mystery and ghosts. Book Two of the Dragon City Trilogy, following Snapdragon Alley and followed by Dragon Town.

The Book's Review of Itself:

For the most part we live our life in the grip of the feeling that it belongs to us to do with as we will, only to find that we sometimes serve as pawns in someone else's game, their politics or their plans. The best we can do, as we swim along like a fish in a stream, is to wriggle away from any hands that try to grab us as we pass. Those forces may be seen as darker or lighter but we only catch a glimpse of them, as shadows or reflections. From our point of view, with our limited scope and information, only one thing's for sure - we can always use a little help from our friends.
