A killer epidemic sweeping workplaces isn’t the flu. It’s workplace violence. Too frequently, we see stories of a frustrated employee picking up a gun to seek revenge. As we probe the murder in Snap Factor we expose the pressures that can build up in the modern workplace until someone snaps.
In Snap Factor, a washed up NYPD detective, “Mac” McCormick, confronts this human resources nightmare head on. His life of easy suburban cases is upended when a corporate vice president, is gunned down in a sniper-style attack.
Because this case doesn’t fit the standard profile of an angry employee walking in with a blazing gun, the detective first thinks this is a professional hit. But as he discovers the workplace is literally a boiling cauldron of hate and fear of the maniacal senior vice president, he begins to suspect this is an act of workplace violence. To him, none of the VP's co-workers are beyond suspicion because they are victims of extreme ridicule, bullying, mocking, and even sexual harassment.
Mac has to throw out any preconceptions of a deranged employee as he uncovers the shooter’s methodical planning and sophisticated ballistics; a sniper’s bullet so novel it could only have come from a secret government program. The unique rifle round attracts the attention of the FBI and builds the pressure on Mac to solve the case before the feds take control.
By the time Mac discovers who fired the shot, we gain new insight into the explosive social dynamics that can make the modern corporate workplace a ticking time bomb.
Reading Snap Factor will help anyone who has suffered with a bad boss to realize they are not alone. The book includes a corporate survival discussion guide that can be a great tool for workplace training and discussion groups.

But the second guy, hubba hubba, is a good-looking rogue named Darius whose gambling problem has put him into so much debt he's willing to do anything to get rid of it. Anyway, Darius agrees to marry Cassia, who has fallen in love with him, but when his brother pays off the debt, Darius doesn't need to marry Cassia and breaks off the engagement. Cassia is broken-hearted.
Fast forward to now. She's in a new body and so is Darius. How did they get there? Well, the gods of Rome made a terrible mistake ending their lives and in order to fix it, they give Cassia and Darius new bodies. Of course, they were supposed to get only one body, but wouldn't you know it, the gods screwed up again! Now, Darius has to complete a task in order for all of them, oh yeah, there's a guy named Amatus who loves Cassia and her daughter with Darius, Dulcia, who go everywhere with them, to finish out their lives, but because of an horrific journey through Hades, he freezes every time he's up to bat and they start all over again. Now Jupiter says they have to get it over with, and Morta, well, read the book and you'll find out who she is, has orchestrated a plan to end this thing once and for all. I liked the book. ADDICTION: CUNNING, BAFFLING, & POWERFUL
In this gripping debut novel by Andrew Seaward, the lives of three addicts converge following an accidental and horrific death.
Monty Miller, a self-destructive, codependent alcoholic, is wracked by an obsession to drink himself to death as punishment for a fatal car accident he didn't cause.
Dave Bell, a former all-American track star turned washed-up high school volleyball coach, routinely chauffeurs his bus full of teens on a belly full of liquor and head full of crack.
Angie Mallard, a recently divorced housewife with three estranged children, will go to any lengths to restore the family she lost to crystal meth.
All three are court-mandated to a secluded drug rehab high in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. There, they learn the universal truth among alcoholics and addicts:
Though they may all be sick...SOME ARE SICKER THAN OTHERS.
