As Lady Sophia passes through the gates of her new bridegroom’s country estate and he begins to whisper in her ear the delights that await her in his bed, Lady Sophia realizes she has made a most dreadful mistake. There’s only one thing to do. She must bolt.

The bride-on-the-run is rescued by the exceedingly handsome William Birmingham who thinks she’s a woman named Isadore, and though he’s the richest man in England, she mistakes him for a common (but well-to-do) criminal. Since she’d rather be dead than wed to her wretched bridegroom, Sophia pretends to be Isadore and take her chances with the provocative Mr. Birmingham. But how could she have known that her ruse would bring the gallant Mr. Birmingham into such peril from the wicked man she married? And how could she have known her enigmatic rescuer would ignite passions she never knew she possessed?

From the international best selling author of 'Spoilt' …...

It may be a bit of a cliché to say that all firemen are hot, but Captain Jared Montgomery is in an intensely smoldering class of his own, which makes him somewhat explosive to handle.

When he first met Charlotte at the vet's where she worked, he immediately judged her to be breathtakingly beautiful, flirtatious, superficial and shallow. He didn't like her but he couldn't get her out of his mind. She thought he was aggressive and rude, but she couldn't get him out of her mind either.

Then mutual friends and family forced them together at a wedding and suddenly they had a runaway fire going between them nobody was going to put out until the day Jared discovered Charlotte locking lips with Dr Shaw, the local vet and her boss.

She, of course, said it wasn't like that at all, but she would, wouldn't she?

And it might all have ended there if Charlotte hadn't nearly died in a fire and if Jared hadn't been the one to save her …..

If you like your Romance as straight as your firemen, this is the one for you.

From Booklist
After being attacked by a moose while on a solitary hike, 50-year-old Molly Binfet reassesses and changes her life. First, she sheds her husband. Then she heads up the road to Snowshoe, Montana, to thank the man who rescued her after her tangle with the moose. There she discovers "the Bluebird House," an almost decrepit bordello vaguely reminiscent of a birdhouse, and falls in love with it. She hires the local outcast, a mountain man named Ben, to help rebuild the bordello. Supposedly Ben murdered a man 20 years ago and was acquitted at trial, but everyone in Snowshoe except newcomer Molly believes he did it. Meanwhile, the restoration of the Bluebird House is an epiphany, allowing her to reach for a new life, a new love, and a new home with open arms. An eclectic cast of characters animates this borderline black comedy, and the author's own experiences renovating an old bordello give it a solid punch. Lee's novel will please fans of romance and westerns. Melanie Duncan
